Womble Bond Dickinson has added David Van Atta as a partner in its real estate practice group, based in the firm's San Francisco office. The appointment was announced on Tuesday.
Van Atta brings more than two decades of experience advising clients on complex commercial real estate transactions. His practice focuses on acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and development projects, particularly within the technology and life sciences sectors. He has represented both landlords and tenants in high-value office and laboratory space negotiations across the Bay Area.
Before joining Womble Bond Dickinson, Van Atta was a partner at a regional law firm where he led the real estate practice. His arrival strengthens the firm's West Coast presence and expands its ability to serve clients in a competitive market.
The firm noted that Van Atta's deep knowledge of the San Francisco real estate landscape aligns with its strategy to grow key practice areas in major metropolitan hubs. His addition is part of a broader push by Womble Bond Dickinson to recruit experienced partners in transactional practices.
